June Photography Workshop

without comments

In June I took, and helped out with, my husband’s nude photography workshop. I took it last year too and it was so much fun I had to do it again. As last year I was just starting out shooting nudes, I really wanted to give it another go at this year’s workshop, now that I’m more experienced. We had three different professional models during the two days and three hours of shooting time with them, needless to say it was awesome! The models are all local professionals: Wolfpup, Cassandra Bryant, and Cindy Stamps.

There were about twelve photographers in the workshop. They were all really fun to work with, we were broken into teams of five or six to shoot with the models. Plus, everyone had the opportunity to create and direct a set with a model. For a lot of people this was the most challenging part of the workshop. It’s easy to just sit back and take pictures while someone else is directing and has the shoot all set up.

But, when you are the one that has to call the shots it can be very nerve racking! On the other hand, it is very rewarding when you create something, from your own vision, and it turns out great!

The picture above is one that I took of Wolfpup during one of my lead sessions. Photoshop really made it into something interesting and unique, which was part of the vision I had in mind while setting up this shoot. The space we had to work with for this workshop was great. It’s a nice little farm out in Wilsonville with just beautiful natural backdrops to shoot against. To see more from this workshop and some pictures of the other models, just click on the image!

Sarah Ellis

without comments

I worked with Sarah Ellis, who’s from New York, in January of this year. She traveled out West on a modeling tour and my husband and I were lucky enough to book a shoot with her. She was really fun to work with and had a great personality. As you can see from the photo, her curvy build and exotic features are sensual and unique.

We worked with Sarah in our house; in the hallway, the dining room, and the back part of the house that was under construction at that time. We created a lot of different settings for the shoot, the diversity was great. Sarah put in 100% with her modeling skills and ability to take on the energy that was need for each setting, from sensual lace to power tools, she was so easy to work with. Needless to say the photos all came out wonderful!

Sarah has her degree in Biology, and when I met her she was working on her M.D. While going to school she took up professional figure modeling and it has worked out really well for her! I hope that she will be coming back this way this Summer or Fall because it would be great to get some outdoor shots with her. In the mean time, you can see her galleries on www.GraceAndBeauty.com! and for more of my own work check out my Model Mayhem page at www.ModelMayhem.com/jadzia
